There's nothing better than warming up your home with artworks that represent your style. But a lot of art you'll find in chain stores can be bland and boring, and a lot of us want unique pieces that you won't find anywhere else.

This is where the internet comes to the rescue. There are hundreds of sites out there offering gorgeous artworks for affordable prices, but which are the best? Here are seven of the best sites you can use to find unique art for your home.

Once a print is embellished, some even consider it to be an original artwork because it's been altered by hand, by the artist. For this reason, we note that it is embellished in the product description, as it may hold slightly more value depending on the materials used and artist's body of work. This also means that no two embellished prints will be totally alike. The artist will embellish similarly to the first, but there will always be slight variation, making your print completely unique, while still listing at a lower price point than an original.

Our Asian elephant herd loves to paint, and they each have their own unique style. To make their signature elephant kisses, our elephants (with the help of their keepers) gently press their noses to the canvas leaving the special heart shaped print behind. Everyone gets in on the fun- even our patriarch Thailand. Painting is a great way that our animal care team creates meaningful relationships with each of our elephants and we love to see what creations they come up with.

The keepers at the Houston Zoo work to enrich the lives of the animals in their care every day by adding interesting and complex activities to their daily routines. Enrichment activities are fun for both animals and keepers, and painting is an engaging activity that our Gorillas enjoy. Mike is known for leaving his signature circular wisps on the canvas, while Chaka sweeps his paintbrush from side to side filling up the space with his bold strokes. Henry, TJ and Leom, our newest additions, are adding their own flair to their art pieces as well. Each painting is unique, just like our Gorilla family.

A duo of multi-disciplinary artists, painters and sculptors, Tank & Popek create dreamlike works about the city and the place of living beings, where pagan tales, urban legends and punk penchants converge. Embark on a journey into the unique universe of these pictorial pirates. In their installations, the animals and cities are made of cardboard, produced via recycling or re-purposing processes: it's a way to advocate for rewilding and reconnecting with the living world in this increasingly urbanized planet. Often poetic, always wild, they are a duo-duel, on the cusp of an imaginative narrative protest.

Having lived in the Parisian suburbs and become familiar with them, the artist Simon Laveuve developed a passion early in life for visible modes of expression, with their ability to reflect intrepid explorations of an environment that may so easily become hostile. The artist imagines 'post-apocalyptic refuges,' unique lifelines and sanctuaries of survival in a world of noise and chaos. He takes a special interest in the architecture of cities, their spatial power, and the individuals who inhabit them, go into hiding in them, or commit themselves to them. In a boundless poetry of lines, words and silences, Simon Laveuve expresses the erring ways of our time. Sharpening his gaze, he seeks out the unusual and incongruous, drawing his inspiration there.

A unique artist, the works created by the American Julia Cissell are made to measure. And what a measure it is! Since her early childhood, Julia Cissell has cultivated a boundless interest in very small things and in minute details. She started by making tiny accessories for her Barbie dolls. She then went on to alternate between painting, drawing, sculpture and sewing, before turning to devote all her patience and talent to micro art. Using polymer clay, iridescent film and nylon fiber, she creates miniature sculptures that are completely true to life. In her works, she magnifies each object, each detail - and gives them a touch of magic, too. From her tiny butterflies to her surreal sceneries, her works are a totally unique performance.

Esha Kiran Bijutkar, an engineer and a business graduate from Nottingham Trent University, realised the importance of thinking outside the box. Founder of the Pink Petit Rose brand, Esha is a self-taught and builds vintage, rustic and shabby chic 1:12 scale miniatures made from clay and wood. She specialises in making hyper realistic food miniatures. Durable and long-lasting, these works are all about detail. Reusing materials, advocating recycling, she does not limit herself, does not repeat herself, each of her pieces is unique, in its inspiration as in its realization. Her work shows that miniatures are an art form that requires a lot of work and that creativity can be limitless.

Originally from Poland and a graduate of the Beaux-Arts School and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, Basia Wesolowska designs towering architectures that are both dreamlike and phantasmagorical, comprising a collection she calls Lands of Glass. Her works, unique houses designed as theater sets, seem imbued with magic. She builds and erects them step by step, fully expressing her vision, then keeps them in jars like a wizard or alchemist. An admirer of the work of Studio Ghibli, the famous Japanese animation studio, she creates extravagant dwellings intended to spark the viewer's curiosity. 041b061a72
